 “Gorgeous” George Bird failed to keep his winning start to the season going when he dropped a close points decision to Jakveer Basi on Friday night.

 Colchester Amateur Boxing Club member Louis Thew made an impression as he stepped into the ring for his first ever contest on Friday night. The Colchester teenager was hoping to make his father, who was also an amateur boxer, proud by following in his footsteps: and he did just that.

 Barely a week on from our home show and 3 boxers were back in action! 

A trip to Derby, to a show hosted by Pegasus ABC at the County Cricket ground, saw 3 performances that matched the sparkling sunshine of the day.
